LONDON — U.K. theatrical distrib Momentum Pictures unveiled plans Monday to move into international distribution, with Canada’s Alliance Atlantis handling international sales.
Marketing director Sam Nichols will head up theatrical distribution. Alex Hamilton, director of sales, becomes head of sales and business development; he’ll liaise with government funding agencies and tax-based equity funds with an eye toward possible projects. He also will cover projects being developed internally by Momentum, working with outside producers and talent to secure further financing and investigate co-production roles.
Publicity director Dee Poku becomes head of international marketing and publicity, working closely with Alliance Atlantis’ Charlotte Mickie and Gail Rivett.
First pic Poku will oversee is “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” a film developed by Momentum and produced by Marc Samuelson, starring Jimi Mistry and Adrian Lester and directed by Simon Shore.
