Brits Raj & Pablo brought their London-based Bollywood Nights bash to the Savoy Hotel on Thursday.
The event — which featured the duo’s brand of partying that includes Bollywood names, music and Indian food — was to celebrate Bollywood films here at Cannes.
The duo, who in true yogic style have given up the burden of last names, say they are planning to bring their parties to New York for such events as the bow of the legit musical “Bombay Dreams.”
“Before, people were like ‘Is the interest in Bollywood a fad? Is it going away?’ ” Pablo said. Raj said Brit TV shows like “The Kumars at No. 42,” and pics such as “Bend It Like Beckham” and “Monsoon Wedding” show that this isn’t a fad.
“A lot of things break in the U.K. and go to the U.S., like ‘Beckham’ and ‘Bombay Dreams,’ ” Raj said. “We hope to have the same effect.”
