Pugilist pitching reality TV ideas
Mike Tyson could soon be channeling the spirit of Charles Kuralt.
The former champ has been meeting with network reality execs about a possible unscripted skein in which Tyson would travel the country, interacting with a wide range of people, from celebs to auto mechanics. He’s pitching the project — as well as other ideas — with ICM and Red Skies Entertainment, the shingle behind Fox Sports Net’s well-reviewed Tyson documentary “Beyond the Glory.”
Tyson has dipped his toes into the reality waters before. Earlier this year, there was talk of a “Who Wants to Fight Mike”-style reality competish in which the winner got to go mano a mano with the boxer. That project didn’t go forward.
