Exec to o'see strategic branding, content programs
IFilm has tapped former Lions Gate executive Tom DeLuca as senior veep of marketing and programming.
In the newly created post, DeLuca will be responsible for developing strategic branding and content programs for the IFilm Network, made up of entertainment site IFilm.com, the Hollywood Creative Directory, Lone Eagle Publishing and Online Testing Exchange.
He will shepherd the creation of marketing programs with advertising and distribution partners and expansion of content offerings for consumers.
“Tom’s extensive film and Internet background will help us further propel the business forward,” said IFilm CEO Adam Frank, to whom DeLuca reports.
DeLuca most recently served as veep of digital media at Lions Gate Entertainment, where he created a standalone division within the studio that focused on the company’s overall Internet strategy including the marketing of Lions Gate’s movies on the Web.
DeLuca was also instrumental in the launch of the online video-on-demand service Cinemanow.com, as well as the consolidation of the Trimark and Lion’s Gate Web sites.
Before joining Lions Gate, DeLuca founded Independentfilms.com, a portal for filmmakers.
