Industry vet Justin Pierce has been tapped senior VP of corporate communications for Fox Television Studios.
Pierce will be in charge of all corporate communications and media relations for FTVS, which encompasses a wide array of scripted and unscripted production banners, including News Corp.’s stake in Regency Television. He’ll report to FTVS prexy David Grant.
“FTVS is proud of its entrepreneurial roots, but we’ve grown to the point where we need a world-class communications pro fully dedicated to our company,” Grant said. “Justin is one of the most savvy guys in the business and he will raise our game.”
In addition to its stake in Regency, FTVS has a stake in “The Shield” for FX, licenses international production and formats such as “Joe Millionaire,” produces original telepics (“44 Minutes”) and develops nonfiction programming (“Biography”).
Pierce had previously spent 10 years at the former Columbia TriStar TV Group, most recently as exec VP. During his tenure, he oversaw communications for all aspects of the company, including primetime, daytime and the studio’s interest at the time in Telemundo and Game Show Network.
