Docs on U.S. military sell at market

Concern about U.S. military designs helped boost sales at German United Distributors, which inked more than 20 deals at the market.

“The Need for Speed,” a doc on the U.S. military’s use of drugs to improve the performance of its personnel and its link to incidents of friendly fire, sold in France and Canada, while doc “Qatar,” which looks at the effects the presence of the U.S. military has had on the Arab country, was picked up in Denmark.

Company also sold tyke series “The Peppercorns” to RAI in Italy and HRT in Croatia and inked a children’s programming deal with AQS for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

German United also sold long-running cop show “Men From K3” in France and inked a deal with Belgium’s RTFB for 10 TV movies.
