COLOGNE — German phone company Deutsche Telekom has sold its remaining stake in one regional TV cable grid to a consortium headed by U.S. investment group Blackstone.
Blackstone and partners already held 60% of the cable operator of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, Kabel BW. The transaction continues DT’s withdrawal from its TV cable operations.
In June, it sold six regional cable operators to a consortium of Apax Partners, Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, and Providence Equity. It still owns minority shares in the operators of the states of Hessen and North Rhine Westphalia.
