Veteran entertainment attorney Daniel H. Black is set to join Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the firm’s expanding Los Angeles entertainment practice.
In Black’s 20-plus years of practice, his clients have included production and distribution companies, showrunners and producers, syndication entities and on-air television and sports talent. He also has substantial experience in structuring international co-productions, helping to access money from the public and private sectors for productions around the globe.
“Dan is recognized as an entertainment industry leader. He will clearly help in expanding our role in the domestic television and motion picture industries,” said Jay Cooper, head of the firm’s Los Angeles entertainment department.
Black joins Greenberg Traurig from Berkowitz & Black, a Beverly Hills firm he co-founded in 1993 under its original name, Heenan Blaikie. He has also held senior legal positions at Columbia Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Weintraub Entertainment Group.
