Music major BMG has named 13-year company veteran Stacey Bain to the post of senior VP of finance and administration for its BMG Special Marketing Group, based in New York and reporting to exec veep Joe DiMuro.
Bain will be the chief adviser for business, finance and operations for the group, which comprises BMG’s special products unit, catalog division BMG Heritage, music licensing, Direct Response TV and corporate marketing for the U.S. labels.
Bain joined BMG in 1990 as director of financial services and has since moved up the ladder to become veepee of finance and administration at the company’s RCA Victor Group, overseeing new deal analysis and back-office operations.
Before entering the music biz, Bain was controller at Exec-Flow Systems. She got her professional start as a certified public accountant at Arthur Andersen.
