New plays by Paula Vogel, Christopher Shinn and Nicky Silver highlight the Vineyard’s 2003-04 season.
Vogel’s “The Long Christmas Ride Home” begins previews Oct. 9 under the direction of Mark Brokaw. The author of “How I Learned to Drive” looks at what happens when a family car spins out of control after a disastrous Christmas dinner, hurtling the three siblings into the future where they confront the legacies of their childhood. The production features puppets by Basil Twist.
Shinn’s “Where Do We Live” receives its American premiere in January.
The world premiere of Silver’s “Beautiful Child” is tapped for March.
