Petersen to develop, secure nat'l programs for pics, vid
Universal Pictures has hired veteran marketing exec Kristin Patrick Petersen as senior VP, national promotions.
Petersen will be responsible for developing and securing national promotions programs for U’s domestic film releases, homevid titles and classic library properties. She will also work with the Brand Group to extend the value of all Universal brands.
Petersen’s immediate priorities include securing promotional partners for the studio’s upcoming slate, including “2 Fast 2 Furious,” “The Hulk,” “Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat,” “Peter Pan,” “The Chronicles of Riddick” and “Van Helsing.”
She reports jointly to Eddie Egan, co-prexy of marketing, and Beth Goss, exec VP of the Brand Group.
Petersen comes to U from Revlon, where she was VP, brand exposure and global licensing, for more than two years. She joined Revlon in 1998 as director, licensing and business development.
Petersen also spent three years at Disney Consumer Products, where she was assistant manager of accessories, toys and sporting goods, responsible for overseeing product development as well as advertising and promotions to support Disney’s animated films, TV and branded properties.
