Exec's upcoming projects include 'Riddick,' 'Jones'
HOLLYWOOD — Universal Pictures has upped Donna Langley to executive vice president of production.
Langley, a senior veep for the two years she’s been with U, joins Ally Brecker-Schearmur at the exec VP level in U’s production squad. She’ll continue to report to production prexys Mary Parent and Scott Stuber.
Stuber and Parent said of Langley, “As one of the strongest production executives in the business with a wealth of experience and excellent working relationships with talent, Donna has proven to be a major asset to our Universal team.”
Langley’s portfolio of upcoming projects include Vin Diesel starrer “The Chronicles of Riddick”; Renee Zellweger’s reprise in “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason”; Brit TV sci-fi adaptation “Thunderbirds”; Jessica Alba’s dance pic “Honey”; and Nia Vardalos’ follow-up to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” the transvestite-themed comedy “Connie and Carla.”
Langley joined Universal in 2001 after two years with New Line, where she oversaw and exec produced pics including Mike Myers’ “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” and Jennifer Lopez’s “The Cell.”
