Helmer-scribe Pablo Trapero, known for his gritty, hard-hitting dramas “Mundo grua” (Crane World) and “El Bonerense,” has begun lensing his third project, the road movie “Familia rodante” (Rolling Family).
Trapero is producing the $700,000 project under his Matanza Cine banner with London-based Buena Onda Films, France’s Paradis Films and Germany’s Pandora Filmproduction. Pic is due for release in May.
“Rolling” follows an 85-year-old grandmother who hits the road in a motor home with her extended family to attend a wedding in her small hometown.
Graciana Chironi, who worked with Trapero in “El Bonarense,” the fourth-biggest domestic draw at the box office last year, stars alongside Liliana Capurro.
