Thriller on tap for Soderbergh

Jordan may direct modern-day Gotham story

Neil Jordan has come aboard to develop an untitled thriller written by Ann Biderman for Warner Bros. Pictures’ Section Eight, with Steven Soderbergh producing.

Jordan also has an eye to direct the project, which came from a story developed by Soderbergh and Biderman. Pic will concern a vulnerable private investigator and a prostitute in modern-day Gotham.

Warners executive VP Kevin McCormick oversees development for the studio, with Section Eight president Jennifer Fox overseeing development for the production company.

Repped by WMA, Biderman’s credits include “Primal Fear” and “Smila’s Sense of Snow.”

Jordan’s most recent feature, “The Good Thief” starring Nick Nolte, will be released April 2 by Fox Searchlight. His credits also include “The End of the Affair,” “Interview With the Vampire” and “The Crying Game.”
