‘Swimmers’ gets producers kudo

Pic takes place in Maryland, honored with fellowship

The Sundance Institute has tapped Doug Sadler’s “Swimmers” as the recipient of the 2003 Producers Club of Maryland Fellowship.

Pic is set in a small Maryland fishing town, where a way of life is dying and a family is imploding. Sadler’s first feature, “Riders,” preemed at the 2001 L.A. fest.
