Managing director Frida Ohrvik, of Sandrew Metronome Norway, will head the Scandinavian media concern’s new acquisition team, taking over from Bertil Sandgren, who is retiring.
Ohrvik will continue to handle the Norwegian operation, while assisted in shopping new product by Eivor Zimmermann, Sandgren’s deputy, and Stine Helgeland, marketing executive in Oslo.
The team will have its first outing at Cannes adding to its Scandinavian distribution line-up, which includes 25-30 international films annually, three-to-five in-house features, as well as Warner Bros product.
The Stockholm-based company runs production and distribution in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, with cinemas in all except Norway. 2002 turnover was $160 million.
