4,200 members must return choices by Jan. 24

The Screen Actors Guild Awards has sent out ballots with more than 1,400 potential nominees for performances during 2002 in five film and eight TV categories.

Ballots were mailed Friday to two randomly selected panels totaling 4,200 SAG members from across the U.S.

Ballots must be returned by Jan. 24; nominations will be announced Jan. 28 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Award ballots will be mailed Feb. 11 to all 98,000 active Guild members, and winners will be announced March 9.
