‘Played’ finds a home

Helmer worked on 'Diamonds,' 'Going to California'

HOLLYWOOD — Emmett/Furla Films has optioned the thriller spec “Played” and attached John Asher to direct.

Written by David Frigerio and Suzanne Fitzpatrick, it will be produced by Randall Emmett and George Furla with Frigerio and Josh Woodward of Eagle Cove Entertainment.

Eagle Cove is currently in production on “Starsky and Hutch” starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Frigerio most recently sold his urban comedy “Criminal Procedure” to the Montecito Picture Co.

Asher’s credits include “Diamonds” from Miramax and the Showtime series “Going to California.”

Emmett/Furla is in post on “Blind Horizon” starring Val Kilmer.
