SYDNEY — Paul Oneile, former chairman/CEO of London-based United Intl. Pictures, has joined the board of government funding agency Film Finance Corp. Australia.
Oneile, a former managing director of Greater Union and Hoyts Entertainment, has been a consultant since he stepped down from UIP last year.
Communications Minister Sen. Richard Alston said Oneile’s international experience in film distribution, marketing and sales will assist in the board’s assessment of film projects.
Alston also announced the reappointment for six months of FFC chairman Geoff Levy. Levy, who has headed the FFC since 1999, was due to step down in July but agreed to stay on to help with the transition to new CEO Brian Rosen, who came aboard in March.
