Mostow relies on Self

Exec has been setting up studio projects since 2001

Mostow/Lieberman has upped Sarah Self to VP. Self will continue to report to Hal Lieberman and Jonathan Mostow.

The heads of the Universal-based shingle credit Self with setting up four studio projects since she joined the company as a creative exec in 2001.

“Sarah has done great work for the company bringing talented writers and getting projects set up,” said Lieberman. “It’s a pleasure to promote her.”

For U, she set up comedy spec “My Better Half,” by Boyce Buhliari and Jamie McLaughlin; “Lost Boys,” based on Orson Scott Card’s novel, which is being adapted by Brian Carr; and thriller “Before,” by Niall Johnson.

She also developed laffer “Modern Bride” by Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, which was set up at Disney earlier this year.

Prior to her current post, Self was the book department coordinator at CAA.
