‘Miffo’ picked up

World Brief

Swedish director Daniel Lind Lagerlof’s romantic comedy “Miffo,” which shared the feature prize with Dutch director Paula van der Oest’s “Moonlight” at this year’s Hollywood Film Festival, has been picked up for international distribution by Sweden’s NonStop Sales.

Starring Jonas Karlsson and newcomer Livia Millhagen in Malin Lind Lagerlof’s story of a minister who falls in love with a wheelchair-bound girl, the Sonet Film-Hagring production has generated more than 430,000 admissions domestically.

From Sonet Film-Omega Film, NonStop Sales has also bought Swedish director Ingela Magner’s “Emma and Daniel — The Meeting,” which won the children’s audience award at the recent Film Fest Hamburg in Germany.
