Lions Gate has brand ‘Loyalty’

Stone, Everett pic began lensing last month

CANNES — Lions Gate has collared North American rights, reportedly for a healthy seven-figure sum, for “A Different Loyalty,” the $15 million romantic thriller toplining Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett.

Helmed by Marek Kanievska, pic cranked up last month in Montreal and will location in London, Malta and Moscow.

Sales agent Arclight Films has also sealed pacts with Spain’s Manga Films, Germany’s Splendid, Italy’s Lady Films, Brazil’s MPA and Europa for Latin America.

Set in 1963, saga centers on a woman’s search for her husband, a journalist and part-time spy, after he disappears from his Beirut home.

Producers are Michael Cowan and Jason Piette of Britain’s Spice Factory, Richard Lalonde and Jan Vocke.
