Pub exec has o'seen '28 Days,' 'Beckham,' 'In America'

Fox Searchlight has promoted Breena Camden to exec VP of publicity and promotions, reporting to marketing topper Nancy Utley.

Camden joined Fox Searchlight in September 2000 as senior VP of publicity and promotions. She has overseen the publicity and promotional campaigns for some of Searchlight’s most successful films to date, contributing to the company’s 200% increase in revenues from 2001 to 2002.

She’s overseen publicity on hits like Danny Boyle suspenser “28 Days Later” and “Bend It Like Beckham.”More recently, Camden has worked on “In America” and “Thirteen.”

Previously, she was VP of publicity and promotions for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Intl. During her tenure there, Camden developed the publicity and promotional strategies for Fox video titles released in 52 international markets.

Camden’s publicity team includes VP of national publicity Megan Colligan in Los Angeles, along with senior publicists Charlie Pinto and Will Casey. In Gotham, she oversees Julianne Whitney and Julie Tustin, both VPs of national publicity along with publicist James Finn. She also manages the field department, including VP of field publicity Cristi Lima and manager Mary Love Garverick.
