Film panel taps new chairman

Peter Dinges was appointed Friday the chairman of Germany’s Federal Film Board (FFA) for a five-year term starting in April. He will replace Rolf Baehr, who is retiring from the post he has held since 1998.

Dinges is head of legal affairs and human resources at Telepool, the sales division of pubcaster ARD.

The FFA also named Kirsten Niehuus deputy chairwoman of the federal film subsidy org, for a five-year term starting in January.
