HOLLYWOOD — Columbia Pictures has signed filmmakers J.C. Baldwin and Eric Anderson to develop a comedy about an alien attack that goes awry when the invaders discover life on Earth is nothing like what they imagined.
Based on an untitled pitch, Carolyn Caldera and Jean Luc De Fanti will produce the project through their production-management shingle Caldera/De Fanti Entertainment.
Baldwin and Anderson have each made several short films that have screened at the Sundance Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Festival, among others.
Caldera and De Fanti previously produced “Lorca,” “Selena” and “Three Blind Mice.”
Col production co-president Doug Belgrad and creative exec Jonathan Kadin supervise the project.
