Sony has acquired worldwide rights to Taiwan pic “20:30:40” from actor-writer-director Sylvia Chang.
Romantic drama follows three women at ages 20, 30 and 40. It features Chang along with Rene Liu (“The Personals”) and Lee Sinje (“Betelnut Beauty”). Ap-pearing in cameos are Tony Leung Ka-Fai (“The Lover”), Anthony Wong (“Infernal Affairs”) and singer-actor Richie Ren.
Chang has acted in more than 90 films. Directing credits include “Passion,” “The Game They Called Sex” and “Mary From Beijing.”
Deal was negotiated by Barbara Robinson, managing director of Columbia Pictures Film Production Asia.
