Wedding-obsessesion on the screens

Scribe Gren Wells has closed a two-picture deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. The first project under the deal is “Diary of a Mad Bride,” which Wells will adapt from the novel by Laura Wolf.

The romantic comedy concerns an independent young woman who becomes wedding-obsessed after her engagement.

David Levine and Gina Marcheschi of Zealot Films and Josie Rosen will produce the pic for Warners. Greg Silverman and Alysia Cotter are the execs.

Second project under Wells’ deal is a blind script commitment.

Wells also wrote “Earthbound,” a dramedy set up at 20th Century Fox with John Davis producing and Petter Naess (“Elling”) to direct.
