‘Valentin’ to preem in Seattle

Miramax’s “Valentin” will have its North American premiere as the opening-night screening of the Seattle Intl. Film Festival, with helmer Alejandro Agresti in attendance. Fest is skedded for May 22-June 15.

Drama, about a boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut, stirred controversy earlier this year when it screened in competition during Argentina’s Mar del Plata film fest despite warnings that it was ineligible. Film won the Jury’s Special Prize.
