Ian Pelling, topper of Blighty animation studio Cosgrove Hall Films, is ankling after majority owner Granada decided not to sell.
Granada now plans to forge closer links between Manchester-based studio and its other children’s activities.
Pelling joined in 1996 and was promoted to managing director in 1999.
The studio’s credits include “Dan-gerMouse,” “Chorlton and the Wheelies,” “Bill and Ben,” “Andy Pandy,” “Fetch the Vet” and “Albie.”
It aims to break into more adult animation with “The Inbreds,” a satirical series set in America’s Deep South that may be sold to MTV.
