“24” star Kiefer Sutherland will fill his summer hiatus starring alongside Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke in “Taking Lives” for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures.
D.J. Caruso is directing, and shooting will begin later this month in Montreal.
Sutherland, who provided the sniper’s voice in “Phone Booth,” has been given a new lease on a bigscreen career because of the success playing agent Jack Bauer on “24.” Sutherland has become a producer on Fox’s top-rated drama, and won the Golden Globe for actor. He will return for the third season after completing the film.
Based on the Michael Pye book, “Lives” revolves around a female FBI profiler assigned to catch a serial killer who spent the past 20 years assuming the identities of the people he murdered. Sutherland will play a suspicious individual who comes into contact with the killer.
Pic’s being produced by Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann and David Heyman with Bruce Berman exec producing.
