Piana to helm ‘Snakeskin’

Director also attached to 'Werewolf'

HOLLYWOOD — Commercials helmer Dario Piana will direct “Snakeskin” for Emmett/Furla and Millennium Films.

“Snakeskin” is about a man who specializes in acquiring rare antiquities for the highest bidder and must hunt down his genetically enhanced ex-partner who has stolen a package that could change the balance of good and evil in the world.

Paul Sloan, who will also co-star in the picture, wrote the script.

Emmett/Furla’s Randall Emmett and George Furla and Millennium’s Brad Jenkel and Avi Lerner will produce. Gus Furla and Leo Amari, who brought the project to Emmett/Furla, will serve as exec producers.

Pianahas directed spots for Ferrari, Dolce & Gabbana and Mercedes. He is also attached to direct “Werewolf” for Phoenix Pictures.

“Snakeskin” falls under the 10-pic production and financing arrangement between Millennium and Emmett/Furla, as did “Blind Horizon,” with Val Kilmer and Neve Campbell. Emmett/Furla is currently shooting “Belly of the Beast,” starring Steven Seagal, in Thailand.
