Radha Mitchell has landed a starring role opposite Denzel Washington, Christopher Walken, Marc Anthony and Dakota Fanning in Tony Scott’s “Man on Fire.”
The Brian Helgeland-scripted adaptation of the A.J. Quinnell novel, lensing in Mexico City, is a Regency Enterprises and Fox 2000 production. Lucas Foster, Tony Scott and Arnon Milchan are producing.
“Fire” centers around American ex-soldier (Washington) living out his days in Mexico. An old friend by the name of Reyburn (Walken) persuades the ex-soldier to protect a child, Pinta Balletto (Fanning) whose parents are threatened by a rash of kidnappings.
Mitchell, whose credits include “Phone Booth” and “High Art,” will play the missing child’s mother.
She will next be seen in Marc Forster’s “J.M. Barrie’s Neverland” for Miramax.
