Maverick enlists in ‘Army’

'80 Days' scribe sells story of military friends

Maverick Films has optioned David Nathaniel Titcher and Jack Saltzberg’s buddy-action spec “Army Navy Game.”

Script centers on an Army Delta Force member and a Navy Seal. Their friendship is challenged when the Pentagon encourages a training maneuver in which the armed forces attempt to infiltrate one another.

Maverick inhouse producer Casey Hoelscher will produce with Maverick and Ed Morrisey from Tiger Mountain Prods. Hoelscher brought the script to the attention of Maverick president Mark Morgan.

Titcher most recently wrote “Around the World in 80 Days,” which is in production for Walden Media and stars Jackie Chan.
