Maverick Films has acquired an untitled pitch from Marc Sedaka and Glenn German that centers on a ragtag group of teens who attempt to rob the arcade at Las Vegas’ Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Sedaka is attached to direct the film.
The Vegas pitch originally came to the attention of Maverick prexy Mark Morgan and will be produced along with Barron Kidd. Kidd, an inhouse writer/producer with a first look deal at Maverick, is also exec producing Maverick’s Viagra comedy “Something in the Air.”
Sedaka is casting his directorial debut, “Freshmen,” which he also penned with German. Mark Johnson produces that pic.
