Pic boosts profits for German firm

BERLIN — German film group IM Internationalmedia has booked its highest quarterly sales volume thanks to the success of “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.”

Company is expecting third-quarter revenue of between e151 million ($177 million) and $183 million while operating profits, before interest, tax and writeoffs, will amount to $2.9 million-$4 million. Final third-quarter results will be published Nov. 14.

“Terminator 3,” produced by subsidiary Intermedia and bankrolled by Teutonic media fund IMF3, has already topped $427 million worldwide and will be released on DVD and video Nov. 11 to take advantage of the lucrative holiday season.
