“Identity” star William Lee Scott is set to star with Lucas Black in “Bottleneck,” an independent adaptation of the Clyde Edgerton book. Tricia Brock wrote the script and makes her directing debut. Production begins May 19 in Missouri.
Scott, who on Sunday won the Rising Star Award at the AMC/Movieline Young Hollywood Awards, will play a young thief whose blues guitar talents become evident when he plays in the jail’s band. Jason Clark and Steven Espinoza are producing, with Cary McNair exec producing.
Aside from “Identity,” Scott will soon be seen starring in “Dumb and Dumberer” in June and “The Butterfly Effect” in February. Previous credits include “Pearl Harbor” and “October Sky.”
