Henderson gets ‘Wired’

Producer takes rights to 1993 book

Producer Graham Henderson has bought feature rights to Martha Randolph Carr’s mystery thriller “Wired” for six figures.

“Wired,” published in 1993, centers on a series of random murders of women in a Virginia town and the lead character’s attempt to solve the crimes based on a hazy childhood memory and the urge to rub her wrist.

Carr’s deal was negotiated by manager Todd Koerner of E-Merge Management. Her next novel, Southern mystery “The Sitting Sisters,” will be published by Cumberland House in October.

Henderson’s producing credits include “Hoosiers” and “The Taking of Beverly Hills.” TV director Alan Simmonds (“Just Cause,” “Higher Ground”) has agreed to direct.
