Fox ups Morrison to sr. VP

Exec o'seeing 'Garfield,' 'Dozen,' 'Dolls'

Vanessa Morrison has been promoted to senior VP of production at 20th Century Fox.

Morrison is currently overseeing the live-action/CGI film “Garfield,” directed by Peter Hewitt; “Cheaper by the Dozen,” a comedy starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt and helmed by Shawn Levy; “Valley of the Dolls,” directed by Betty Thomas; the animated/live-action comedy “Cat and Mouse”; and “Fat Albert,” co-written and produced by Bill Cosby and directed by Joel Zwick.

Prexy of production Hutch Parker praised his lieutenant for her “superb taste, a strong point of view and superior development abilities,” calling Morrison-supervised projects “Dr. Dolittle,” “Garfield” and “Cheaper by the Dozen” “some of the best of what we hope (for) from our executives and for the future of 20th Century Fox.”

Morrison was named Fox VP of production in 1999. She previously served as director of production for the studio.
