WJB Chiltern, the British wealth management company, has launched a film sales agency, Firstupfilm Intl.
The venture is headed by Elisena Tatalo and Robin Andrews. The company aims to handle six films a year with budgets up to $25 million.
They are repping five pics at Cannes: Marcus Thompson’s Sundance entry “A Place To Stay,” Nick Sherard’s horror pic “Don’t Look Back,” Ian Verheyen’s thriller “Alias,” David Fairman’s rom-com “Lighthouse Hill” and the doc “Persistence of Vision – The Life and Works of Jack Cardiff.”
“The launch of Firstupfilm Intl., working within the media division at WJB Chiltern, provides a perfect synergy for their existing film finance interests,” said Tatalo. “The combination of financing expertise and international sales experience ensures the best service to producers.”
