Carol Bodie has been named head of ICM’s motion picture talent department, replacing outgoing head Eddy Yablans after nearly four years in the job.
ICM has a history of periodically reassigning the post. Yablans took it in January 2000. Before that, Toni Howard had held the position since October 1992, when she succeeded Lou Pitt. Other past heads of talent at ICM include senior agent Joe Funicello as well as co-president and vice chairman Ed Limato.
“Carol has great taste, tremendous relationships and is a popular leader among the agents internally,” said John Burnham, ICM’s head of the motion picture department, who made the announcement.
Bodie joined ICM in January 2001. Before that, she spent four years as the head of her own management firm, Carol Bodie Entertainment.
She started her representation career as an assistant at ICM, where she rose to become an agent. She later joined CAA before founding her company.
“I’ve always been impressed by the drive of the agents in this department on behalf of their clients,” said Bodie. “To be given the opportunity to marshal these resources is very flattering.”
Among Bodie’s own clients are Winona Ryder, Dermot Mulroney, Derek Luke, Kim Cattrall, Miranda Richardson, Joan Allen and Gina Gershon.
