WIP taps O’Neil ad exec VP

UA vet was involved with marketing of 'Igby,' 'April'

Erin O’Neil has been appointed VP of creative advertising for Warner Independent Pictures, reporting directly to Laura Kim, exec VP of marketing and publicity.

O’Neil will assist Kim in developing and implementing marketing and creative ad strategies for the shingle’s slate.

O’Neil was previously director of marketing at United Artists, where she was involved with marketing campaigns for pics including “Pieces of April,” “Bowling for Columbine” and “Igby Goes Down.”

Prior to joining UA, she was VP of marketing and publicity for Myriad Pictures, where she supervised various international campaigns. Before that, she was VP of worldwide theatrical marketing for Trimark Pictures.
