Key Player: M. Night Shyamalan


Exec Trivia: Shyamalan made 45 short films by the time he was 16.

The Basics: Now in production on his sixth feature film (five with Disney distribution) “The Woods,” for 2004 release — Shyamalan has had a productive, exclusive partnership with the Mouse House since breaking through with the Oscar-nommed “The Sixth Sense” in 1999. That project earned Buena Vista more than $660-million worldwide, making it the 15th highest grossing film ever. Shyamalan has an eight-figure deal to churn out product for Disney’s distribution machine.

Rep.: In his mid-30’s, Shyamalan is one of the industry’s brightest directors. He’s earned wide latitude and respect from Mouse exex.
