Allen to mentor honorees

Inspired by the Shooting Stars program at the Berlin Film Festival, HIFF’s Rising Stars program spotlights up-and-coming actors whose stellar performances have made critical contributions to films in the festival. Oscar nominee Joan Allen serves as fest mentor to this year’s honorees, and will join them in an onstage symposium at 4 p.m. Saturday at Guild Hall. To catch their films, check this list:
