Network could see millions of hits each day for each programs
NEW YORK — The USA Network will lay out a seven-figure budget to promote a batch of its primetime shows on various Yahoo! online services. First up will be “Nashville Star,” a reality series that premieres on USA on March 8.Other USA programs that will get the Yahoo! treatment include “Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story,” an original movie with James Woods as the former mayor of New York City; the “Helen of Troy” miniseries; “The AFI Lifetime Achievement Award” honoring Robert De Niro; the kickoff of another season of the hit series “Monk,” which USA shares with ABC; and the six-hour sequel to the movie “Traffic.” USA could end up with millions of hits each day for each of these programs, with promotion ranging from rectangular ad strips across the screen to full-motion video clips.
