Real tees off with TourCast

RealNetworks has released a stand-alone subscription program focused on golf called TourCast Plus, part of its recent deal with the PGA Tour. The TourCast application is separate from the golf programming it is offering to subscribers of its RealOne SuperPass, a subscription-based service that also includes material from such outlets as CNN, ABC News, the NBA, NFL and Major League Baseball.

Real also announced a deal with Ericsson to provide audio and video technologies for use in cell phones made by the company. It follows a deal previously made with cell-phone giant Nokia.
