The Smoking Gun shows, tells

No matter how much business in Hollywood starts with a handshake, there’s often a document or two by the time the deal is done. The Smoking Gun is where those documents seem to turn up. An investigative Web site dedicated to interesting, newsy, sometimes quirky documents, it’s well worth visiting from time to time.

Recently, they’ve unearthed a toll booth ticket and underwear modeling shots of construction worker “Joe Millionaire.”

They’ve also posted the complete court filing of Mr. Jack Ass suing MTV for “defaming” his good name, and 20 letters sent to the FCC in support or condemnation of this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

OK, so it’s not “60 Minutes.” It’s still great reading, and their archive of “Backstage Passes” features a long list of demands by touring music groups of the venues where they perform. It’s worth an hour all on its own.
