Site reviews over 1000 soundtracks

You wouldn’t expect that the best one-man film score site would be run by a resident of Missoula, Mont., but that’s the power of the Web; and the power of this site is such that it was Amazon.com‘s Associate of the Month in April 2001.

The site reviews more than 1,000 film soundtracks; most of the reviews are written by the site’s creator, Christian Clemmensen. His in-depth knowledge of composers shows, not only in his allusions, but in the excellent profiles he’s written of the most prolific scorers.

There’s also a twisted sense of humor that permeates the site; even in the legal terms it shines through: “Limitation of Liability: You expressly understand and agree that Filmtracks shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, accidental, special, consequential or emotional damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, happiness, or intimate relationships. Filmtracks shall also not be liable in the event that a visitor forgets to take his or her medication.”
