Kazaa traffic drops 41%

Cyberbiz Brief

Nielsen/NetRatings has reported that traffic on Kazaa, the biggest P2P content swapping network, declined by 41% between June 29 and Sept. 29. Networks iMesh and BearShare fell to levels below Nielsen’s minimum for measurement, while traffic on Morpheus fell 4%.

“The RIAA is clearly sending a strong message to American Web users and the message appears to be working,” said Greg Bloom, senior Internet analyst at Nielsen/NetRatings.
