New Regency taps Brown VP

Exec to o'see company's marketing campaigns

Fox-based New Regency has promoted Michael Brown to vice president of marketing

Previously exec director, Brown will continue to oversee the company’s marketing campaigns for its theatrical and home entertainment releases as well as corporate communications and value-added materials for DVD titles.

In a statement, Regency Enterprises prexy-CEO David Matalon praised Brown as creative and hard-driving, calling him an integral member of the team.

Since joining the company in 2001, Brown has worked on films including “Daredevil,” “Unfaithful” and “Don’t Say a Word.”

Upcoming New Regency marketing campaigns include “Down With Love,” “The Runaway Jury,” “The Girl Next Door,” “Man on Fire,” “First Daughter” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”

Before joining Regency, Brown was director of promotions at Universal Pictures. He also spent four years in the 20th Century Fox marketing department.
