TMG ups stake in CineMedia

German group increases stake in CineMedia

COLOGNE — Tele Munchen Group (TMG) has increased its stake in post-production unit CineMedia Film from 8.8% to 29.8%.

TMG, headed by Herbert Kloiber, has taken all shares held by Dutch investment group German Equity Partners. CineMedia, based in Munich, said it welcomed TMG’s increased participation, as TMG and its film distrib unit Concorde have long-standing relationships with the company.

CineMedia claims to be Germany’s market leader for post-production of TV and theatrical pics. It employs 500 people at five subsids in Munich, Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg and Cologne.
